Brighten up your surroundings.

We often underestimate the ability of a new paint job to uplift our spirits and change our whole outlook on life.
Colour has a huge impact on our moods and emotions.
Pulling out furniture from the walls and uncluttering the corners may be a chore, but not only will you find long lost items but your home will seem clearer and you won't spend anymore time rumaging through area's looking for things.
Painting is straightforward but pay attention to your colour choice. Colours you love may be better as an accent, like a pillow or rug, rather than the whole room.
Gentle colours are much better and should compliment the other colours and tones in the room.

Thanksgiving

It's time to give thanks to whomever you wish. Your Mother, Father, God, friends, siblings, wife or husband.
You could thank the paint on your house for protecting the surface and making it appear beautiful.
Or thank the painter who worked hard scraping away the old paint that you left on way too long.
What about the ability to have a house in the first place? yes you worked like a dog to afford it, but in many places you can work just as hard just to feed yourself.
So yes, it is a time to be thankful, save the critique for tomorrow, or continue to be thankful until next thanksgiving.
Happy thanksgiving from Ken and Shirley.

Late painting

Well it looks like another few days of exterior painting weather here in Kamloops.
It's usually quite wet in the morning because of dew, but the daytime is warm and paint should dry before night fall. I usually stop applying paint before 4.00pm, this allows the paint a couple of hours to dry while it is warm. For more information.................
